DISCOVER THE ADVANTAGES OF EACH OF THE OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO YOU WHEN YOU CHOOSE THE WINDOW DISPLAY OPTION, WHETHER IT IS PARTIAL OR TOTAL.
WINDOW LETTERING: PARTIAL LETTERING
This process consists in cutting out text, shapes and simple images out of the sticker vinyl and applying them to the windows. This option is ideal if you want to leave the inside view of your business unobstructed. Partial lettering also allows for the application of the decals to be done from the inside, which can’t be done with printing since nothing can be printed on the side of the glue. For an interior installation, the cutting is simply undertaken backwards and the exterior visual is therefore correctly positioned. Be careful though, applying lettering to the interior somewhat lessens its impact because of the window’s reflections. When the lettering is applied to the exterior, it covers the window and its reflections, and is therefore much more visible from the outside.
THE BENEFITS
>Interior installation is possible
>Several colours are available
>View is unobstructed from the inside of the business
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>If interior installation is chosen, colours are less vivid
>No printed images, so design is more limited
>Lettering is backwards when viewed from the inside
WINDOW DISPLAYS: OPAQUE PRINTING
This process consists in covering the window partially or totally. The printed opaque vinyl is applied from the exterior, so the image is visible from the outside while the interior of the business is not, even at night. This opaque option significantly limits sunlight. Opaque vinyl printing allows access to more vivid colours than perforated vinyl. We offer short-term vinyl options for promotional or temporary messages, as well as long-term options for permanent displays.
THE BENEFITS
>Very vivid printed colours
>Significantly limits sunlight
>On a large scale: cheaper than perforated printing
>Allows for the use of images, more design possibilities
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>Must be applied from the exterior
>Completely obstructs the view of the outside from the inside
>From the inside, the printing is backwards and less vivid
WINDOW DISPLAYS: PERFORATED PRINTING
This process, which is our most popular, consists in covering a window partially or totally with perforated vinyl. This type of printed vinyl is applied from the exterior. From the outside, the printed image is visible while, from the inside, the outside is still visible as if the window were tinted. However, the holes in the printed vinyl that allow for this visibility somewhat take away from the vivacity of the colours. At night, the perforated vinyl image disappears partially depending on the exterior-to-interior luminosity ratio. The darker it is outside and the brighter it is inside, the more the image will disappear. If this feature is unattractive to you, choose an opaque vinyl that doesn’t let light through at night, or a custom window display.
THE BENEFITS
>Vivid printed colours
>Somewhat limits sunlight
>Allows visibility of the outside from the inside
>Allows for the use of images, more design possibilities
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>Must be applied from the exterior
>Less vivid printed colours than opaque vinyl
>When it is dark outside and bright inside, the image will progressively disappear
WINDOW DISPLAYS: FROSTED VINYL
This process consists in cutting out the text, shapes, logos and simple images from the frosted sticker vinyl and applying them to your windows. Frosted vinyl also allows for the decals to be applied from the interior. For an interior installation, the cutting process is simply done backwards, so that the visual is correctly positioned from the outside.
THE BENEFITS
>Very chic finish
>Significantly limits sunlight
>Adds a touch of privacy to an office
>Allows for interior installation
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>Almost completely obstructs the view of the outside from the inside
>From the inside, the display is backwards
CUSTOM WINDOW DISPLAY: PARTIAL LETTERING + PRINTING
This process mixes partial lettering and printing in the window application process. Perfect for businesses that don’t want to completely cover up their window, but that want to incorporate images into their design. This option is applied from the exterior. Choose between opaque and perforated vinyl printing, depending on your specific needs. Customize the proportions of the window covering to your advantage, according to your situation and budget.
GET A QUOTECUSTOM WINDOW DISPLAY: OPAQUE PRINTING + PERFORATED PRINTING
Let’s look at an example: you want to see outside from the inside, so the perforated vinyl fits that need; however, you don’t want the image to partially disappear at night. The solution is to separate the perforated and opaque images according to their importance. You could make your logo and contact information opaque at the top of your window, using opaque vinyl, while a picture and complementary information are printed in perforated vinyl below. Your view therefore wouldn’t be completely obstructed and, at night, only the secondary information would disappear. The more important information would still be visible on the opaque vinyl. Please note that this solution can turn out to be more expensive than other options. Do not hesitate to contact us for more details and advice.
